The Activist's Tango
If a person dies before their time, their soul is sent to another time and place to take physical form and finish out the rest of its life. These people -- popularly dubbed 'Reborns' in the year 2051 -- live discreetly among other humans, distinguishable only by the oftentimes gruesome scars left over from their deaths. Jenny Kvalko is one such person, but even in death she faces a dilemma. Unlike many Reborns, Jenny has found shelter and companionship courtesy of her rescuer Conan O'Flaherty, a young man with a kind disposition, but in doing so she has unwittingly joined an organization founded and headed by Conan's fiancee, Julie: a domestic terrorist group hellbent on tearing down the presiding government.

You know, it figures, the day before I'm to post a new page, my computer... um, blows up.
Okay not literally.
It shut down and will not turn on again. I've got everything I want off the hard drive, so I could technically just wipe it buuuuut it had numerous other problems, and in the long run it's more worthwhile to get a new one.
The bad news is, computers cost money, and while I could have bought a new one two weeks ago, that would mean... well. Starving. The good news is, come Friday I get paid again, and I'll have more than enough for my new one! Allow me one more missed update, maybe two, and then all will be back on schedule :) I'll even upload a couple extra pages, to catch myself back up fml.
Sorry for all the trouble!

Hey guys!
So let's just get the elephant out of the room right away: chances are, if you're reading this, you probably clicked on this comic and noticed the art. ... it is bad. It is so very bad.
That's because this comic started in September 2005. I have tried to rectify this badness by reworking the dialogue and redrawing some of the worst pages so that they aren't quite as offensive, but it's still pretty obvious that this stuff is old.
"Charil so why are you posting old stuff" well, there were a few issues with my previous host, and so I'm seeking refuge here!
There is a teensy problem with the archives (read: they're huge), though, so I'll be updating one chapter per day. Which is why I feel the need to post a kind of tl;dr newspost to say...!:
... the art is really quite bad. If you'd like to bypass it, there's a link on the nav bar at the top to a wiki that summarizes most of the most offensive chapters. Ta!
